About Tip-Top Talking
Speech and Language Therapy in north-west London, Bushey  and Hertfordshire
Colette has always had a passion for working with people and a belief that good communication skills are  vital to a happy, healthy life. It was an easy decision to study Speech and Language Therapy and she graduated in 2006 with a first class honours degree.
Colette initially worked solely in the NHS and her various roles there have encompassed community clinics, nurseries, Children's Centres, specialist nurseries and schools for children with Specific Language Impairment, clients' homes and mainstream schools.
Colette currently works part-time in the NHS as a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. Her post involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team for children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. She also continues to work in NHS community clinics. Colette has supervised less experienced Speech and Language Therapists since 2010.  Her NHS roles regularly see her supporting and training parents and other professionals. Colette has also delivered training for other Speech and Language Therapists in various parts of England and Scotland.
Since working part-time in the NHS, Colette has been able to develop her interest in independent work. Independent work can allow a more comprehensive and consistent package of care for a child and Colette enjoys the positive outcomes this can produce.
With her varied background, Colette is well-placed to support pre-school and primary-aged children with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties. She is keen to work collaboratively where a child is accessing both NHS and independent therapy.
Colette is an honest, hard-working, organised individual with a natural aptitude in working with children. Her communication skills are excellent and she sees liaison with family members and other professionals as a key part of her role.
Colette has attended numerous post-graduate training courses, including:
